I know we are still in the first part of August, but place this is the “save for later” category. Truthfully, I only started thinking about fall clothes this past week. Overall, the summer hasn’t been too hot in D.C., but this past week has been brutal. The humidity has to be between 90% and 95% with temperatures in the 90s. Needless to say I’m ready for the cooler temperatures! I was reflecting back on some of my favorite ways to start incorporating more fall-like pieces into my wardrobe by late August. It’s hard to believe fall is just around the corner. Where did summer go? Each fall, I like to take a look at colors that are trending for the new season. While burgundy, olive green and cognac will always be considered fall colors, over the next few weeks I will be looking at other, not so assuming, colors to wear this autumn. It’s not a surprise that Pantone’s Color of the Year has made it’s way to fall. However, the great thing about this lavender shade is that you can start wearing it now!
