I’m not sure how it’s possible that tomorrow is August 1st. Where did July go?? And although we just have a little over a month of summer remaining, there is one good thing about the start of August: summer is on sale. Whether it is something you have had your eye on for a few months or if you are looking to stock up on summer basics at lower prices, it’s a great time to find summer on sale. Here are a few of my favorite summer pieces that are currently on sale:
Happy Monday, friends! Sharing a little bit of a different kind of post today. Since the majority of my week is spent in work clothes, I thought I would share three of my favorite recent workday outfits. Washington, D.C. is pretty conservative when it comes to work clothing, so not many bright colors in my 9-5 wardrobe. The craziest I will get is my leopard pants! Here are my recent workday outfits:
Let’s just call it Amazon week over here on A Blonde’s Moment! As I mentioned in Monday’s post, buying clothes from Amazon was new to me until I purchased this dress. However, purchasing other household and everyday necessities on Amazon is not! Today, I am rounding up nine of my recent purchases from Amazon.
Splurge vs. Save is back! One of the most popular series here on A Blonde’s Moment, and today I am rounding up fall trends: splurge vs. save style! And while I still have summer content to share with you, the temperatures dropped into the 60s yesterday morning and it was giving me all the fall feels. Quite the change from the over 100 degrees we experienced just a few days ago. Even though the majority of us can’t even think about fall clothes yet, it doesn’t hurt to start planning your fall wardrobe and looking at trends for the season. Here are five fall trends: splurge vs. save!
There is nothing like summer side dishes. The fresh vegetables and light flavors of summer sides are the perfect addition to any meal. Especially a meal on the grill. Corn on the cob is probably one of my favorite side dishes of summer. But of all the corn on the cob I have had in my life, this Mexican Style Street Corn takes first place in my heart.
Like much of the east coast, it was a hot one here in D.C. this past weekend. With the “feel like” temperature at 107 degrees by Saturday afternoon, it was like walking into a brick wall every time walking outside. Even though we shot these pictures super early, it was brutal! But, it is summer in D.C. and I guess you have to just embrace it! And I can’t think of a better way to embrace these summer temperatures than with the perfect summer dress under $30.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to non-cardholders today! Today I am sharing my experience from the sale. I shared a similar post last year (see it here) and since it was so popular, here is this year’s edition: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: the good, bad and ugly.
Happy Thursday, friends! The heatwave that is hitting the east coast is the real deal. 100 degrees (without the humidity!) is in the forecast for tomorrow and this weekend. Given all this heat, I wanted to share a few of my new favorite beauty products that are getting me through the summer temperatures. Here are my four summer beauty finds:
Summer is not over yet! Jumping back to summer related content to share these summer sugar cookies. We made these a few weeks ago to test out a new technique and today I am sharing the results of our experimentation with royal frosting!
With all the talk of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I am definitely looking forward to fall. However, the temperatures are still warm (and there are more summer clothes to share!) and will be for awhile. Heavy coats, layers and over the knee boots are still a few months away, but transitioning your summer wardrobe to fall is only about a month away. Here are some ideas on how to build a pre-fall capsule wardrobe and how you can wear some of your Anniversary Sale purchases now!
