It’s safe to say that I am really having a velvet moment. One of fall’s biggest trends, I find myself gravitating to anything and everything velvet. There are so many things to love about this trend for fall. It’s soft and luxe texture makes dressing up an outfit easy. You don’t have to look too far to find the trend these days, but here are a few of my favorite fall velvet pieces.
I have shared my love for crockpot dishes before, but I think we have a new favorite in our house. Now that it is fall, I have been trying to do crockpot dinners at least twice a week. Not only do I love the ease of these recipes, but there is no beating a quick and warm dinner on a cold fall evening. I made this recipe a few weeks ago and have made it twice since. I am officially addicted! After making it for the third time, I think I have finally mastered the combination of ingredients to create the most delicious Loaded Baked Potato Soup!
One accessory that I get excited for each fall and winter is a faux fur vest. I typically incorporate one into my wardrobe each year (this year it was two..oops!). But of all my faux fur vests, this is definitely the most unique. A lighter layer, this faux fur vest is perfect for this time of the year. Although, I see myself wearing this all fall and winter, too.
If I have said it once, I have said it one hundred times, I love a versatile piece that can be worn across the seasons. I first bought this orange swing dress in the spring (you may remember it from this post) and I loved wearing it all spring. Once the temperatures warmed up, I had to put it aside, but was determined to find another way to wear it once the cooler temperatures arrived. We spent the weekend in Pittsburgh a few weekends ago and couldn’t wait to style this spring dress for fall.
There has been a lot of talk about the change of seasons with fashion and food lately on A Blonde’s Moment. But what about skincare for the fall? As the temperatures begin to get cooler, there are also adjustments that need to be made to your skincare routine. In a new mini-series, I am sharing what I have been incorporating into my skincare routine to prepare for the colder, drier months with Orogold Cosmetics. Let’s kick off the Fall Skincare with Orogold series with the sensitive skin cleanser and facial brush.
Can you believe Halloween is just two weeks away? It feels like just yesterday I was sharing last year’s Halloween-inspired recipe with you (you can see that here). Caramel corn is one of my favorite treats year-round, but especially in the fall. Since the Churro Cupcakes were such a hit back in the spring, I thought I would share another cupcake recipe with you today. One bite of these Caramel Corn Cupcakes will have you thinking you are enjoying the real deal!
It’s fall y’all! The temperatures dropped on Friday and Saturday and it actually started to feel like fall here in Virginia. Needless to say, I couldn’t wait to grab a few of my fall favorites. This oversized fall monogrammed sweater and suede ankle booties make for a cozy and casual fall look.
A monogrammed sweatshirt. There aren’t many things better than this combination! A mix of comfortable and cute, this sweatshirt is the perfect top for a casual weekend in the fall. I talked about my love for monograms last week in this post, but this sweatshirt takes it to a new level.
Happy Wednesday, friends! One of my favorite types of Wednesday Wishes to share on this little space of mine are splurge vs. save outfits. Although the most challenging, I love finding designer lookalikes for less. The inspiration behind today’s theme is this crazy warm weather. Dressing for work is becoming more and more difficult — I now understand why people in warmer climates wear summer clothes in fall colors! In that spirit, I wanted to share a date night look that is perfect for this transitioning to cooler temperatures weather. A little wear now outfit inspiration: no fall layers here! Without further ado, here is a fall date night outfit: splurge vs. save edition.
If you have been following along for awhile, you probably have caught some of my other granola recipes. I love adding granola to my vanilla yogurt so I am always thinking of new ingredients. I started with the original recipe (here) and have made seasonal changes like peanut butter granola and most recently, carrot cake granola. For fall, I wanted something that really represented the flavors of the season. Caramel Apple Granola sounded fitting.
