I have always been a fan of turtlenecks. Whether they are sweaters or shirts, my closet is filled with them. I know that some people are not fans, and in some cases, I can see why. Depending on the turtleneck, it can feel constraining. Enter the mockneck. While it does not feel nearly as constraining as a turtleneck and gives you a similar affect with a higher neckline.

Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! Today I’m writing about one of my favorite winter trends to try each season: winter whites. I tried out winter whites last year in this post by pairing a black and white marble sweater with white jeans and black over the knee boots. I thought I would give two styling options to give this trend a try along with some winter white inspiration!
Although the temperatures have warmed up here in Northern Virginia, it was absolutely freezing here last weekend. The temperature on my car read -2! I had never seen a negative number on my car before. I obviously had to take a picture to document it! Regardless, I had been searching for a warm coat since the fall. Appropriately named “the perfect winter parka”, this coat is cute, warm and is even lined with blush pink!
Oversized sweaters are my go-to this time of the year. My collection continues to grow, which is necessary since this weather is so chilly! But this olive green sweater with the cold shoulder details is definitely one of the more unique sweaters in my closet. I’ve worn this sweater a few times since Christmas, but dressing it up with over the knee boots makes it the perfect winter date night outfit.
Don’t let the sun in these pictures fool you. As with much of the country, it has been terribly cold here in Northern Virginia. I think the temperature was around 10 degrees when we were taking these pictures! Definitely colder than your typical winter day in Virginia. With the cold temperatures continuing through the weekend, I have been reaching for my warmest sweaters. It got me thinking, what stores are my go-to for finding cozy and warm sweaters? Can you even believe that Christmas is a week from today? Since we are quickly approaching the holiday, I wanted to share this year’s Christmas Eve dress with you in today’s post. It has always been a tradition to get dressed up on Christmas Eve and this emerald green dress might just be my favorite Christmas Eve dress yet.
If you haven’t heard, pink is my favorite color. And although I have always loved pink, I have upped my pink game in the last few weeks. From this ruffle skirt (which is on sale for under $60) in this post to the hot pink sweater with faux fur pockets in last week’s post, my closet seems to be getting more pink by the day. Needless to say when I saw this pink faux fur jacket, I knew it had to be added to my ever growing collection.
