Hi friends! I had made this Valentine’s Day inspiration collage a few weeks ago and haven’t had the time to write the content! It’s been a rough few weeks in the McCarthy household. January and February are always a super busy time at work for me with state legislatures in session (you can read about my 9-5 job in this post) but this year has been busier than usual. Then last weekend, Richard wasn’t feeling well, so he spent the weekend in bed. Sunday evening I checked his temperature — it was at 103.5! We ran to urgent care and it was confirmed. He had the flu. For the past week, I’ve been trying to take care of him (while still keeping my distance!), crazy with work and disinfecting the house constantly. Thankfully, he is feeling better, but it was a rough week.

It’s hard to believe fall is just around the corner. Where did summer go? Each fall, I like to take a look at colors that are trending for the new season. While burgundy, olive green and cognac will always be considered fall colors, over the next few weeks I will be looking at other, not so assuming, colors to wear this autumn.
